Born in Roseland, Louisiana, she pursued higher education at Southern University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Education along with additional studies in English and Mathematics. She later earned a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision.Throughout her career, she served as a dedicated educator in both Louisiana and California, teaching and mentoring students while encouraging them to reach their full potential. Her commitment to education extended far beyond the classroom, as she continually sought ways to uplift, support, and inspire others.As a woman of faith, Matilda remained active in ministry and community service throughout her life.
